Believe it or not, this is from the same idea as this picture, all of which has become a pet project of mine that I hope to animate someday. It all involves the Bass fusion we call CBass (shuuush) fighting demons, and none of it makes any sense but it'll be FUCKING COOL to see XDXD
*cough* Anyway. Yes, down at the bottom is CBass. The demon/dragon is actually the Beast of the Apocalypse, which makes this one of my first religious-type pictures xD. Well, quasi-religious, anyway. The entire thing was inspired by images I got the very first time I listened to A7X's "Beast and the Harlot" (which is about the Apocalypse) and continue to think of to this day. With any luck I'll be able to animate it faithfully XD As for the picture itself, a grand total of 5 hours went into this, from first sketch to last rendering. The only things I didn't do to it by hand were a subtle orangish tint, and giving it a faint glow. You can see the untouched version below. I think my favorite thing about this pic is the ground leading up to the demon. And the top-left flame. I had a LOT of trouble blending the sky around the demon's heads, and it shows XD;;; But damn that's a good ground. xDD Progression of the pic First sketch: [link] (complete with 11 horns instead of 10, whoops) Inked: [link] Half-colored: [link] Finished, untouched: [link] Final product: Above. I think this is like. Your best picture EVER. o__o For serious. The shading with the colored pencils is flippin awesome, and the ground is amazing. You did a good job of making the cracks in the earth look 3-d and realistic. :3
